I had "unretired" from political activism after a 20+ year absence to work
on the Thompson campaign in North Fla and did some contact work locally in the
early stages. It quickly became apparent that the local GOP was more interested
in preserving thier little fiefdom, not allowing committee members to be active in the Primary campaign. That conincided with inability of Fred's campaign to put together anything resembling a real organization statewide. Sadly, I think that Fred was running a 1970's campaign in 2008. We can't make that same mistake again. "We"(economic, national security, and social) conservatives
have got to settle on one principled person to run in 2012 EARLY, and accept these blans substitutes. Let's stand for something again.
